These are the topics that are likely to follow us everywhere in 2023:

For us in leadership positions, there is no way around the following topics. I love the list as it shows how much the world is changing. Hot topics evolve around peoplesโ€™ well-being and environmental protection. Furthermore, companies have to work hard to attract and keep talent.

For a better culture in 2023, I hope companies seek to strive for some of the following attributes if they haven’t done this already:

โญ๏ธ Build Talent and invest in your employees‘ development to continuously develop new skills and improve existing ones. They deserve it! This is a great way to work around the war of talents and an even better one to motivate and build up your employees to perform at their best.
โญ๏ธ Establish a productive working environment by eliminating office politics and focusing on the topic. Leaders go first!
โญ๏ธ Empowerment and a can-do attitude. Way too much time is wasted talking about work and how to do and plan things at the hierarchy levels. Be positive and believe that things can be done and are going to work out if you empower your teams.
โญ๏ธ Make sure there are empathic managers in place who influence, inspire, and motivate others.
โญ๏ธ Communication is key: Explain complex things short and simple, that way everybody understands. Communicate openly, honestly, and most importantly communicate frequently.
โญ๏ธ Establish positive values and make a serious effort to live up to them. An organization’s values provide guidance and set the tone for an effective and positive working environment. They are not just a list, they are supposed to be DNA.
โญ๏ธ Show more kindness, compassing, understanding, and good listening skills, and treat people equally and with respect. The old days when the loudest opinion won and the real soft skills were considered weak should be long gone by now.

โ—๏ธLast but certainly not least: People who are seeking more power, more control, and a bigger empire should be removed from positions of power.
Conflicts that arise from these intentions cannot be resolved by reasonable argument, and they will resist any change that does not benefit them.
